Universal Patterns of Behavior Considered - Archetype Cards

The theory of archetypes is nothing new and it has been considered far before Carl Jung made mention of the collective unconsciousness which are considered to house these personality types. Plato even referred to such things an discussed these ideas. Today there are archetype cards and there are some very cool books on all this.

Some of the cards are used for dreams others to help understand lifelong patterns. I would like to recommend that a couple of books to you, but before I do let me warn you not to be over sold or tricked into buying lesser quality cards in my opinion. Do not buy archetype cards of any type from hypocritical self-proclaimed spiritual gurus that are psychotherapists. In my personal view they simply are inferior. I would like to recommend the:

"Archetype Cards" by Caroline Myss

The collection is killer and she has some 80 archetype cards available. She has another great book that I recommend called;

"Awakening Your Divine Potential" an New York Times Best Seller.

So you should be buying the best not some Voodoo Imitation to be used in some bizarre dream scheme. Using her deck of cards and reading her other book you will learn a lot, without the spiritual new-age hype. For someone with an open mind they do indeed make a pretty cool gift and who ever you give them to will be happy.

Perhaps you need to do a little research on these things and look into who is really got the right idea on the ancient archetype forms or templates, I think Plato might in fact be proud of your efforts to promote these tools of enlightenment.

Ayahuasca - A Cure Through Love

Shamanic healing often employs plants to good effect, though it is rarely about herbalism, per se. Indeed, most shamans are explicit that the pharmacological properties of the plants they employ are of far less importance than the spirit which is held by the plant. It is the spirit which heals, while the plant itself is secondary, acting only as the home of the plant-spirit.

The point is illustrated by Amazonian shaman, Javier Arevalo, who serves the community of Nuevo Progreso, on the Rio Napo river of Peru, working with the visionary jungle vine, ayahuasca.

Ayahuasca is a powerful purgative and curative mixture which is used by the shamans of the Amazon to commune with the spirits, who then oversee the healing of the person who drinks the ayahuasca brew, while the shaman guides the healing session and appeals to the spirits on behalf of his client.

The mixture itself, blended in careful measure, contains ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) and leaves of the chacruna plant (Psychotria viridis), often with datura and pure jungle tobacco, which cause the purging qualities that ayahuasca is famous for. The final mixture is also known as ayahuasca, from the Quechua words, aya meaning 'spirit' or 'dead', and huasca meaning 'rope' or 'vine'. Hence, the brew is often referred to as the 'vine of souls' or the 'rope of the dead'.

It is prepared by cutting the vines into short lengths which are then scraped, cleaned and pounded to a brown pulp. The vines, along with chacruna leaves and other ingredients are then placed in a cauldron, water is added, and the entire mixture is boiled for 10-12 hours, overseen at all stages by the shaman who will continuously blow sacred tobacco smoke into and over the brew. When ready, the mix becomes a muddy, pungent liquid with a foul, acrid taste.

Once ingested, the mixture produces initial feelings of warmth which spread up from the stomach, creating a sense of well-being and a sensation of skin elasticity, almost as if the skin has become rubber-like and pliable and no longer separate from the air around it. After this first phase, which may last 30-60 minutes, the visionary effects begin, which are often dramatic. Harvard ethnobotanist, Wade Davis, in his book, One River1, described the sensation as akin to being "shot out of a gun barrel lined with Baroque paintings, and landing in a sea of electricity". Visions of snakes and vines in bright primary colours are very common but, for the trained shamanic eye, information on the illnesses and diseases which inhabit his client's bodies are also expected. It is these visions which enable him, and the spirit of ayahuasca, to heal his clients.

During the visionary phase, purging may also take place through vomiting or diarrhoea. This is often emotionally uncomfortable for Westerners who are brought up to control their bodily functions and not to 'let go' of themselves, but it is welcomed by the people of the Amazon since it is this purge which removes the 'poison' that can lead to illness, and clears the system both physically and spiritually. Of course, the shaman must never purge since he is a master of (or partner to) the vine and must control the healing ceremony.

Javier is a Maestro (master) of ayahuasca (also known as an ayahuascero) and has spent 14 years understanding the ways and the spirit of this and other plants, which he refers to as "the jungle doctors". The training of an ayahuascero is arduous, involving abstention from certain foodstuffs, from alcohol and from sex, since the spirit of ayahuasca, while angelic and protective, can also express very human emotions, such as jealousy and anger, and can turn vengeful, with unpleasant consequences for those who approach it in an impure manner.

Training as an ayahuascero also involves long periods of time spent in jungle isolation, "dieting" the plants, which means regular (often nightly) ingestion of ayahuasca, along with many others which are considered healers. He must also follow a special diet which denies him sugar, salt, alcohol, pork and other foods. In fact, the diet consists largely of rice, fish and rice water – and even that might be considered lavish since all of the food must be found locally or carried into the jungle, where the shaman must remain for months at a time. The harshness of this training regime is exemplified by one Amazonian shaman whose mentor once gave him tobacco to diet, in a mix so strong that it bordered on toxic. After consuming the fermented tobacco drink, the shaman retired to a jungle cabin where he lay in a coma-like state for three days. "When you take this drink, you'll either live or you'll die", his mentor told him. "If you live, you will know tobacco"2.

"Every plant has a spirit", says Javier. "The shaman goes into the forest as part of his apprenticeship and spends years taking plants and roots. He takes ayahuasca too and the spirit tells him what it cures. Then the shaman tries another plant, each time remembering which ailment is cured by that.

"As the spirits, or plant doctors, who teach us are pure, they are made happy when we are pure too. So a shaman must diet in order to attract them. That means they should not eat salt, sugar or alcohol, and they should abstain from sex.

"You learn all this in the wilderness. The spirits there are the angels of each plant, to which you add your own will to heal the client. This is the will of Christ"3.

Javier's own training has taken place under the tutelage of his grandfather, a Banco (master shaman), who, under the protection of ayahuasca, is able to spend up to eight hours beneath the waters of the Amazon rivers, communicating "with the biggest fish of the river", according to Javier. Once, he also saw a mermaid there, who is now a guardian and tutor to the old shaman. Soon Javier will begin his own "river training" on his own path to becoming a Banco.

The use of ayahuasca is completely egalitarian, according to Javier; its healing spirit being available to anyone who partakes of the drink, though it is often the shaman who carries out the healing, per se, once the spirit of ayahuasca has revealed the nature of the illness to him.

Laboratory tests reveal no significant healing properties for ayahuasca, only hallucinogenic qualities, so it is surprising to Western scientists and clinicians that such results are possible. For Javier, the explanation is simple: the spirit of the plant is a healer and it has, he says, had similar remarkable results in curing Western visitors with ailments including cancers and HIV, as well as alcoholism, drug addictions and other more emotional problems.

"I had a patient who was HIV positive and had been in hospital a fortnight", said Javier. "That night we drank [ayahuasca, and] I saw in my vision that HIV was like the devil destroying him and that he was getting worse.

"He stuck to the [ayahuasca] diet for two months [and] he also took bitter tasting herbs which cure internal wounds. After three times [three ayahuasca sessions] he was better and, when tested, proved HIV negative"3.

The Pulitzer Price-nominated author, John Perkins, who has written extensively about ayahuasca usage among the Shuar Indians of Ecuador, has confirmed other 'miraculous' healings. "During the ten years we have been taking people to meet the shamans, there have been a number of remarkable stories", he says4 – among them, cures for deafness, depression, weight loss, as well as endless accounts of life changes and new visions for a different personal and social future.

Against this backdrop of radical and positive change, it is depressing for Javier to reflect that the rainforest, home to so many healing plants – millions of them still unknown to Western medicine – is being destroyed so quickly by the 'developed' nations, with so little consideration of the consequences of this action. Every three seconds in the Amazon rainforest, one entire species is wiped out forever as a result of this development in order that Westerners might eat more burgers and drive more cars – the very things (pollution and fast food) which are, in many cases, causing disease in the first place.

People create such 'madness' as a result of confusion and to be noticed, says Javier. Ultimately, they are searching for love and belonging but, in the West, they believe this comes through status, rather than the more direct route of loving intent.

Javier's point was underlined a few years ago, when he worked with a group of Westerners of which I was a member. Immediately prior to the ayahuasca ceremonies, Javier asked the group what they really wanted from their lives.

Most answered with spiritual or 'cosmic' answers and spoke of world peace and saving the planet, etc. Javier looked bemused and confused. He asked again and this time, after a little more thought and a good deal more honesty, people said what they really wanted was love. This Javier could understand. The requests were real and immediate – but it was as if people had not felt entitled to ask for these personal things.

Yet, paradoxically, these honest desires are where true healing begins, said Javier, since, if more people in the West were able to experience love, there would be no need for the madness of developed society, the search for more status and material gain and the destruction this leads to – and, consequently, no need to save the planet, which would never be in danger. "Love solves problems", say Javier, simply. "Ayahuasca cures through love".

Judge Not

I hope that you are making strides as you continue along your journey to spiritual development and connecting to that part of you that is purely spiritual. I want to take this time to talk to you about judging other people. I chose this topic because judging other people is something that we as humans do all the time. We have always lived in a society that is prone to judging other people and drawing conclusions based little or no information. It is in fact true more today than ever before. Personally speaking I know that I have to make a conscious decision everyday to make sure that I am not succumbing to that very basic human emotion of being judgmental. Now there are those days when it is a very difficult thing for me to do. On those days I remember a very important quote of Jesus. "Judge not least you should be judged cast out the beam in your own eye before you can cast out the beam in your brothers eye."

The fact is being judgmental is an emotion that we all have and it comes with being a human being. The problem with this emotion is that it is based on our own experiences, circumstances and things that have made us who we are. There are things that must be considered before we attempt to pass judgment on some one else. We must have an understanding of the experiences, circumstances and things that have made a person who they are before we can judge a person. It does not matter if it is because of what a person has said, done, feel or the way the way a person looks.

More times than not the person that is doing the judging is at a bitter disadvantage because they do not have all the information that is need in order to make a judgment about someone else in the first place. Now there are going to be times in all of our lives that we are going to have to judge some one it's inevitable. What you need to remember when you find yourself in this situation is the words of Jesus "Judge not least you should be judged cast out the beam in your own eye before you can cast out the beam in your brothers eye" If you are where you need to be with regard to your spirituality and your relationship with God. In addition to the fundamental principals of spirituality that you have implemented into your life everyday to be the best possible human being that you can be then you are in a position to begin to judge some one. I must caution you that when you are judging someone be careful that in forming your judgment you have left room to do everything that is within your power to change the thinking, behavior or words of the person that you are judging. Even after your judgment you must put yourself in the position to be able to help the person correct their behavior, thinking or words. In other words you can not judge a person for stealing food because they are hungry when you have not offered to give that person something to eat or invited that person over to you house to eat with you every time that you eat.

The Teacher and the Rebellious Student - A Question Raised

A teacher is telling his Students how to solve a difficult problem with a proven formula. A clever yet rebellious student claims that what the teacher is teaching, that his way of solving the problem is wrong.
The student implies that the teacher is incapable, that the student insists that he knows a better way, an easier way.

There are some students in the class that believe the rebel student may be right, and so sides with the student also becoming rebellious.

Do you see the situation at hand?

What should the teacher do?
Should he throw the rebels out, is that wise you think? If the teacher was to throw the rebels out, what would be the effect? What would the other students, the other onlookers Think?

Do you not think that it would breed doubts in the other students, that the rebel student maybe right, and the teacher just doesn't want to be proven wrong. Ultimately the teacher would lose the respect of his students.

I don't know about anyone else, but it seems like common sense that you as the teacher, to keep all those concerned happy, you would only have one diplomatic way to go, and that is to let the student talk, to see what he has to say has any relevance, to allow the rebel to show the class how he would solve the problem.

If you can imagine the teacher as God and the rebel student as Satan. God has only done what the teacher does. Adam and Eve are not the only ones involved; Angels, millions of angels made up the rest of the class(Job 38:7;Daniel 7:10)

How God handled the rebellious situation greatly affects the angels and eventually all the intelligent life. God has allowed satan to show how he would rule mankind, along with allowing humans to govern themselves under satans guidance.

The teacher knows that the rebel and the students on his side are wrong. He knows that for the benefit of the class, he must allow the student to have the opportunity to try to prove their point. When the rebels fail. Those concerned will see that the teacher is the only one qualified to lead the class.
So when the teacher removes the rebel and his followers, the class will fully understand.

Honest-hearted humans and angels will benefit from seeing satans failures, and that "we as earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step".(Jeremiah 10:23).

But why so long?

Why has God not prevented these bad things from happening. The teacher had to consider two things, first he would not stop the student from presenting his theory, second not to help the student make his case. God has to allow time to prove his case, and in the thousands of years of history, mankind has tried every form of self rule, or human government, to our own detriment.

Agreed there has been some advancement in science and other fields. But Poverty, crime, and war are ever prevalent, in fact its forever increasing.
If God was to prevent these crimes, and injustices, would he not, in affect be supporting the rebels cause. Would God in actual fact be making people think that perhaps humans can govern themselves without disastrous results?

If God was to act in that way, he would become a part of a lie. However its "impossible for God to lie"(Hebrews 6:18). Imagine the teacher gives the student a week to show his theory,is that fair?
Now know that one day to God is a thousand years to us.Seven Thousand years and the end will come.

When the week ends, God will finish that which he started, the very thing that he purposed for all mankind will come to pass.

Angelic Conflict - Reason Why Mankind Exist

There are only two beings of higher consciousness in the universe. Man and Angel. Both are Sons of God. Jesus Christ the bright and morning star is the brightest among the angels and the head of them all. Angels are pure spirit beings that are able to take on any form and manifestation. Angels are created beings and Jesus is the creator himself. Every being is pure spirit but the form it exist in the heavenly plane is angelic form.

The difference between Man and Angel is not very much. Man is considered Man because God created him in the physical plane. His form is human but his essence is Spirit. Angels can manifest into the physical plane by taking human form. In the time of Noah, fallen angels took human form and mate with the daughters of men. Because the act of mixing the seed of Adam with that of angels was not God's design for nature, the offspring that resulted were giants and other impure humans that had the corrupted genetic code. Their minds were continually imagining evil and their nature was wicked.

The promise of a coming savior was given to Adam and Eve when God spoke to them and said that He will put enmity between Satan and the woman, and between his seed and her seed. Satan's seed shall crush the woman's seed but her seed shall crush his head The seed of the woman is a designation for the true humanity of the Messiah. Satan's first two attempts to prevent the fulfillment of the promise were directed at individuals. Firstly by personally indwelling the heir Cain and secondly by killing the next in line Abel.

Satan then realized that the fulfillment was to be some time in the future and not to be realized in the woman's immediate seed. So being aware that the promised savior must be true humanity, he devised a plan to destroy the physical purity of the human race and prevent the arrival of the Messiah. Which resulted in the Angelic Infiltration. Satan enlisted several of his angels to procreate with human females and produce a physically mixed offspring of human and angelic genes. These were called the nephilim and provide the history for the mythological tales of the gods producing offspring from humans. Half devil and half human is a corrupted race of superhuman beings. If this pollution of the human race was allowed to become complete, it would be impossible for the true humanity savior to be born. God's promise would go unfulfilled and his character would be declared imperfect and flawed. This then would make God's indictment on Satan imperfect and flawed and Satan would claim a reprieve and escape from judgment.

Therefore when the pollution of the human race became too extensive, God took action to counteract the attack by destroying all of them with the Great Flood except for Noah whom God found was perfect in his generations. Noah was perfect physically as he and his family were the remaining untainted human species. God chose a family of believers who were still physically pure in their genealogy and prepared them to begin a new human civilization. That's why God preserved them so that the human race could continue existing and eventually lead to the birth of the Messiah.

All the rest of humanity was destroyed in the flood which removed the impurity. After the flood, Noah and family began a new civilization with totally pure human genes. The angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, God has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. But the other angels began to interbreed with humans once again. Even now, there are hybrid individuals, part-human, part-alien, walking in our world. There are not many of them, but their numbers will grow in the future. As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it also be in the days of the Son of Man.

The bible also calls Lucifer a man. God says he shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see him shall narrowly look upon him, and consider him, saying, "Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms, that made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof, that opened not the house of his prisoners?" A son of God when residing on the physical plane is considered man, when residing on the spiritual plane is considered angel. Lucifer can transverse both the physical and spiritual dimensions.

Jesus himself appeared to Abraham in preincarnate angelic-human form. When the Angel of the Lord wrestled with Jacob, it was also actually Jesus the Lord himself in preincarnate angelic-human form. When man dies, he passes from the physical plane into the nonphysical plane of life. He becomes as the angels in heaven but that does not mean he becomes an angel. He simply exist in angelic form being able to do things in that form that defies all physical limits and boundaries. He is still Mankind.

Man before his fallen state was equal with the angels in glory. But when man sin, he forfeited the glory of God. Therefore he became lower than the angels. Angels now have the higher manifestation of the glory of God compared to man. God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to die for us as man in order to condemn sin in the flesh. Jesus did no sin, knew no sin and in him was no sin but he came in the likeness of sinful flesh so that he could be our substitute for sins.

Jesus was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Man is lower than the angels because angels cannot experience physical death of the physical body but man can. Jesus was sinless, that's why he was crowned with glory and honor. Jesus died in the likeness of sinful flesh so that he could condemn sin in the flesh. Now sin in the flesh no longer has power to condemn us before God because the old man has died and we now live as a new creation.

When we receive the new body at the second coming of Christ, that's when we will be totally rid of sin in the flesh once and for all. We will no longer be prone to sin or think sinful thoughts because it is the physical-etheric body that we are in right now which is also our subconscious mind that has the nature of sin in it. When we are redeemed from this body, we will have a completely renewed subconscious mind. We cannot sin in that condition of mind. Right now we are redeemed spiritually. We still have sin in the flesh, or the sin nature which is an energy system within us inclined to sinful activity. But we are no longer condemned by it. There is now no more condemnation for those who are in Christ, because his blood has removed our condemnation.

Jesus being sinless was not subject to spiritual death therefore he could not physically die either. He was immortal and he could not be killed on the cross but could only suffer extreme agony and pain. Jesus willingly gave up the ghost and commit his spirit into the hands of the Father. At that moment the thick veil of cloth that separated the holy of holies in the temple where God's holiness dwells, from the rest of the world was torn in half from top to bottom. God himself had torn the barrier with his hands and could now step out and have personal and total relationship with Man once again because the blood of his Son has made us fully righteous.

The reason why mankind exists is because of the Angelic Conflict. In the beginning, God existed with his sons the angels in heaven. Everything was perfect and harmonious. Until Lucifer, God's highest, most beautiful, intelligent, and powerful angel sinned and rebelled against God by wanting to be like the Most High. So great was his power of persuasion that took a third of the angels with him. A conflict arose between God and His angels when Lucifer attempted to ascend to the mount of heaven and wrest God's rulership away from Him. Lucifer became known as Satan, the adversary of God. The resulting battle left the surface of the earth in ruins and packed in ice. God being the judge of heaven, conducted a trial and found Lucifer and his angels guilty, and sentenced them to the Lake of Fire.

But Lucifer appealed his sentence with an accusation against God's character by saying how can a loving God cast His creatures into hell. This was an attack on divine righteousness and justice, thinking that love supersedes them. To answer this appeal, God created man, a lower being, and set him into the great stadium of earth, an open theater for all the angels to observe. God allowed Lucifer to tempt man into sinning and hence had to judge man as condemned to eternal death as well.

Then He would so something that was an incredible shock to all of the angelic creation. The Creator Himself took on the form of this lower being and allowed these sinful, stupid, gullible men to abuse Him and mock Him and finally nail Him to a Roman Cross in an attempt to destroy Him. Only to turn it around and bear the penalty for the sins of those same sinful, stupid, vicious people as well as the rest of us. Thus fulfilling the claims His justice had against us because our sins have been paid for, and so we can live with Him and fellowship with Him forever. Satan thought that the messiah had come to rule as king on the earth but he did not know his real plan was to pay for the sins of humanity, which none of the angels, the princes of this world knew. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Now we are seated together with Christ in the heavenly places, far above all principalities and powers. Man in Christ is above the angels and all creation. As Christ is, so are we in this world. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Jesus said he has given us authority to trample of snakes, scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. The redeemed state of Man is more glorious than his created state. Because what Man had lost, Christ has purchased with his own blood more than what Man ever possessed before in the beginning. We once had a condemnation that we could never lift, and now we have a justification that we could never forfeit if we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

There is no greater demonstration of love than this. Hence, God has shown that he is a just and loving God that he says he is. It clearly demonstrates that God is indeed fair and just and right, and that the fallen angels do deserve the sentence they have received. We as humans are to serve as witnesses of God's love for the prosecution in the greatest trial of the universe involving God, Mankind and the Angels. Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more the things that pertain to this life. The holy spirit is come to reprove the world of judgment, not judgment of humanity but of angels, for the Prince of this world is judged.
